Tom has been teaching since 1975. He has taught in many schools and art colleges including the Slade School of Fine Art, the Prince’s Drawing School, the Cardinal Wiseman High School, the Chelsea School of Art and the San Alejandro School of Art in Cuba. Dean has studied life drawing part-time at the Prince's Drawing School since 2007. He was a recipient of the Richard Ford Award in 2010 drawing from paintings in the Museo del Prado, Madrid. He is the Studio Manager for the London School of Painting and Drawing.
